The experience of Mr. William B. Adderley, owner of We Care Stoneworks and Restoration covers some 22 years. It began in 1984 at the Radisson Grand Hotel Cable Beach where he received training for the restoration and maintenance of marble and specialty surfaces from Italian-Americans. Mr. Adderley has cared for specialty stone surfaces in private homes including that of the former Prime Minister of the Bahamas (Lady Pindling). He has kept abreast with the various philosophies regarding the care and maintenance of various types of marble, terrazzo, granite, and buttercino surfaces through various international companies and trade shows.

Mr. Adderley has recently worked with Miller-Druck specialty on the Atlantis Phase II low rise and was responsible for the final appearance of their specialty stone surfaces. Duties included repair of damage stones: breakage, chips, cracks, scratches, minor grout replacement, color maintenance of stone and grout, filling holes from shoe heels, stain removal and removal of stone damaged beyond repair; cleaning and re-polishing marble floors, vanities dividers, walls, baseboards and bar-tops as well as protection of the various surfaces from stains.

He has been involved in the restoration of several specialty stone services including: construction, restoration of stones in a business office in Lyford Cay, correction of salt damage marble at Atlantis Phase II and restoration of marble at Sandy Port Beach Resort. He has continually sought after by many regarding restoration and care of specialty stone surfaces. Mr. Adderley has a deep passion for stones and believes that with the proper restoration and maintenance of the same, they should not deteriorate with time but certainly the beauty would improve with age. They should appear to be glass. He does not believe in continual crystallization because with time this would result in damages. He further believes in the natural care of stones and refraining from the use of top-coatings such as wax because the stones will appear to be plastic rather than glass.

We here at We Care Stoneworks believe that stones are a specialty item and as such require specialists in their care and maintenance. We hope you find Mr. Adderley’s years of experience and up-to-date knowledge on the care and maintenance of specialty stones satisfactory in the near future.
